What Sets Us Apart
We believe in person-centered, and individualized mental health care that honours the uniqueness of each person we serve and prioritizes supporting the development of their emerging strengths in our work together.
Our clinic favours a transdiagnostic approach, meaning that we work to understand, uncover, and treat symptoms concurrently, that can be present across multiple diagnoses. We strongly believe that each person possesses their own innate wisdom that orients them in their healing journey and we will work with you to help uncover this.
The therapeutic approach at Think Recovery extends beyond talk therapy to gently focus on the shared present moment experience in the therapeutic relationship and how your body language tells the story of your relational and developmental history.
We specialize in helping people recover their mental well-being through helping them resolve underlying challenges with emotional regulation, attachment trauma, and interrupted psychological development.
An eclectic blend of therapeutic modalities is used at our clinic, drawing from Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy, Relational Psychodynamic Psychotherapy, Polyvagal Theory, and Trauma-Informed Care, among others.
It is our aim to foster an effective therapeutic alliance with each person, emphasizing a felt-sense of safety, trust, and sincerity in our work together.
As we are passionate about the power and potential of psychotherapy, our clinic does not prescribe medications.
